Journey: Session 2, Week 7

The 2nd session is officially over, and the Falcons finished strong!

Quest's main challenge this week was building a squad toy collection to showcase the physics knowledge the learners gained in this session. The Falcons planned and executed beautiful products and created posters to explain the science behind their toys.

During Genre, the Falcons finished greenlighting their allegories and decided which part they should share in the exhibition. They practiced reading their stories dozens of times in clean and loud voices and got feedback from each other to improve their reading even more.

For civ, the Falcons learned about Diderot’s Enlightenment Encyclopedia. They enjoyed exploring this topic and had a quite-heated discussion about this question: Imagine this: you are the head of an average middle-class family in 18th Century France, and one of your neighbors has suggested you subscribe to this controversial new Encyclopedia. Do you take their advice and subscribe to broaden your horizons and increase your family’s knowledge base? Or do you say NO WAY, people are getting arrested for reading that, all the authorities are against it, and it will destroy our children’s minds with nonsense, blasphemy, and dangerous ideas?

On Thursday afternoon, the Falcons hosted their second exhibition. We were excited to see all the parents and family members who came to support them. They worked hard to execute this exhibition and were excited to share everything they learned.

Enjoy the long break and happy holidays to all of you!
