House Cup, NGA Squads, Core Skills & Lip Dub (Session 1, Week 2)

This week began with the reintroduction of three very important activities in the Launchpad Studio: Core Skills, House Cup, and NGA time.

On Wednesday, we officially launched this year’s House Cup, giving us an opportunity to connect more deeply with our Houses while strengthening our leadership and teamwork skills.

We were also introduced to our NGA squads, where 100+ Launchpad learners from across the globe gathered on a Zoom call to meet and collaborate with others who share a similar NGA path. It was truly moving to see how many people deeply care about the Acton Network. I, for one, feel reassured knowing that I have such a strong support system within this incredible community.

Filming the Annual Lip Dub

We also began and wrapped up the week by filming and editing our Lip Dub.

After much debate, a ton of hard work—including some night filming—and a LOT of editing (credit to Omer!), we finally have a finished product!

Next week, voting will begin for the annual Acton Lip Dub Competition. Fingers crossed that we make it through to the finals!

Launchpad Contracts Are Complete!

Finally, we are officially done with our Launchpad contracts!

Each contract has been printed, signed, and proudly hung on the wall, displaying all of the beliefs, principles, and guidelines upon which our Studio is built.

Looking Ahead

In just the past two weeks, our Studio has learned a tremendous amount—from effective communication and teamwork to how to stack cups as quickly as possible as part of one of our many team-building challenges.

We’ve accomplished so much in such a short time, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year brings.
