Journey: Session 5, Week 4

The fourth week has been awaited for quite a while in the Journey studio, so what made it so fun and what was special about it? Here’s the details:
#1 - Review drafting has begun! Day 1 and 2! As the fourth week has begun, Journey learners have started drafting their very own restaurant review! Monday and Wednesday were dedicated to drafting them and learners have finished their rough draft with more than 800 words! This genre is getting to the good part, so stay tuned!
#2 - Reactants and products? Chemical equations are here! Having to do four quest challenges in three days is quite a challenge, but this week, it was all about chemical equations. Journey learners have created diagrams of them and even learned how to balance them out. Only an Acton experience!
#3 - The four Crusades? The Middle Ages advance! Moving even deeper into the Middle Ages, Journey learners have learned about some of the most famous sieges ever, all four Crusades. This was all stuffed into one challenge, but packed with resources and writing, this was a great learning experience!
#4 - Finally, the main attraction of the week, or perhaps the session… One night at Alpine? Journey’s first ever overnight trip! Having the Annapolis studio visit AABC last week was a great bonding and learning experience for Journey, but after tireless hours of planning and waiting, the overnight Alpine trip is here! Our Acton, AABC, and three other Actons gathered up in Alpine to have an overnight trip. This consisted of all of Thursday and Friday, but was well worth it. There were sports, games, campfires, and of course, s'mores! The boys and girls were split up into different cabins, but everybody bonded. For example, one thing that we did was a sunrise hike at 4 AM. It might seem early, and not everybody came, but the sunrise was truly beautiful. I can’t give the longest explanation for everything we did, but the most important thing is that everybody had fun, learned lots, and bonded with others.
Next week, we have yet another Alpine day on Friday, exhibition preparation for Quest, and first critiques for our restaurant reviews. We can't wait to tell you all about it!
Absolutely loved reading about Week 4 of the Journey session—drafting detailed restaurant reviews reminds me how important real feedback is, especially in the food world. Just like Journey learners are diving deep into review writing, McDonald’s also values genuine customer insights through its official feedback platform, MCDVoice – Take Survey @ www.mcdvoice.com [Free Sandwich]. Whether it's about your McCrispy experience or how quick your order was fulfilled, every response helps improve service quality. For tips on participating, I often check out trusted fan resources like MCD Talks, which shares how feedback fuels McDonald’s innovation in the QSR space.
This sounds like a fantastic and engaging week in the Journey studio, especially with the learners diving into drafting their restaurant reviews! It's great to see such a practical application of their learning. For those whose "journey" might lead them to Travel Italy and who appreciate a beautiful lakeview alongside excellent culinary experiences, they might find the "für Genießer" (for connoisseurs/food lovers) section of your site, Essen Cannobio, particularly relevant for their trip planning.
