Journey Studio: Year-End Portfolio, Exhibition, and Celebration | Acton Academy Bergen County (Session 6, Week 6)

We are in the final week of the year at Acton Academy Bergen County in Closter, NJ, and it has been a meaningful conclusion. On Monday, learners compiled their Civ badges by reflecting on the challenges they had completed. They tackled two Genre challenges, practiced speeches, and presented them in costume to the studio.

Tuesday was spent completing Genre badge reflections and refining badge plans to prepare for the exhibition. On Wednesday, the studio kicked off with a morning launch followed by tasks for the final exhibition held in the basement. Graduation is followed by learners advancing to Launch Pad or continuing in Journey.

Thursday featured badge audits, followed by a celebratory end-of-year party complete with a bouncy house, art projects, and a BBQ. The week concluded with the 'Positive Energy and Civility' game, earning learners a Wingstop party. This joyful wrap-up reflects the growth, collaboration, and creativity that defined their year. We hope everyone enjoys summer, and we look forward to reconnecting in the fall.
