Dear Parents,
Happy Friday! Here's a look back at another exciting week in the Sparks studio, filled with hands-on learning, outdoor adventures, creative projects, and meaningful discussions.
Monday: Singing, Wildlife & Water Play
The week began with a Launch exploring the power of singing. Learners discussed whether sharing a talent is more meaningful with a global audience or within their own community.
They also:
Jumped into their Core Skills work.
Enjoyed a special visit from Eyes of the Wild, where they met rescued animals and learned about wildlife conservation and rehabilitation.
Cooled off with water play outdoors.
Tuesday: Dancing, Engineering & Graduation Practice
Tuesday's Launch focused on dancing and its benefits for both body and mind. The Sparks reflected on how movement can reduce stress, build confidence, and bring joy.
Throughout the day they:
Welcomed a Sparks parent who shared his inspiring Hero's Journey as an engineer.
Continued making progress in Core work.
Enjoyed time in the woods and water play.
Practiced their graduation dance with our Journey mentors.
Wednesday: House Cup & Memory Books
Wednesday was all about teamwork and reflection.
The learners:
Participated in House Cup activities, working together with their House teams.
Enjoyed plenty of outdoor free play on the playground and blacktop.
Completed their memory books and wrote heartfelt letters to their future selves.
Thursday: Sea Animals & Cooking Quest
Thursday's Launch introduced learners to fascinating sea animals before they returned to their Core work.
They also:
Spent lots of time playing outdoors.
Finished creating, writing, and designing their own recipes.
Voted on their favorite recipe, which the Tribe will prepare together for Cooking Quest.
Friday: Teamwork, Free Friday & A Delicious Treat
We wrapped up the week with teamwork, learning, and celebration.
The Sparks:
Played a fun team-building game.
Continued their Core work, with learners who earned it enjoying Free Friday.
Spent more time outdoors.
Prepared the winning recipe—Serenity and Danny's refreshing lemon-orange juice—and enjoyed making it together as a Tribe.
Thank you for another wonderful week of curiosity, collaboration, and growth. We hope you have a relaxing and enjoyable weekend!
