Welcome back Sparks!
We hope you had an amazing summer break! We're thrilled to have you back for another amazing school year. This week, we hit the ground running with an exciting challenge, important discussions, and some fun activities.
Wednesday: The Lip Dub Challenge
Our week started with a bang as Sparks enthusiastically took on the challenge of creating a dance and video for our lip dub challenge. Sparks choose what they are going to be doing in the video and with whom.
Thursday: Exploring Feelings
On Thursday, we dove into an essential topic - Feelings. Sparks began their day with a special launch focusing on understanding and expressing emotions. They created a "happy" feelings card to help share their emotions with others without having to say a word. This is just the beginning, as we will continue to craft more feelings cards throughout the year, ensuring we have a wide range of options to choose from.
Friday: Town Hall Meeting and "Force Choices"
Friday was a day of important discussions as we gathered for a Town Hall meeting. The Sparks had a chance to voice their thoughts and ideas about the rules for our indoor jungle gym. The meeting concluded with an exciting game of "Force Choices," adding a touch of fun to our productive discussion.
We can't wait for our first full week of school next week!
