A Week of Creativity, Music, and Movement (Session 3, Week 3)

We wrapped up our third week of Session 3, and what a lively, creative, and energetic week it was for our Sparks learners!
We kicked things off with Time Tuesday, where Sparks practiced body percussion to the classic anthem “We Will Rock You.” Stomps, claps, and big smiles filled the room as learners strengthened rhythm and coordination skills. In the afternoon, creativity took center stage as Sparks designed and built their very own kazoos—each one as unique as its creator.
On Macro Wednesday, Sparks watched an engaging video highlighting the power and importance of bees. This sparked a thoughtful and energetic debate around the question: “Are all animals created equally?” Learners came prepared with strong opinions and worked hard to convince others to see their perspective. In the afternoon, Sparks played Simon Says: Energy Pyramid Edition, a fun and active way to challenge listening skills, focus, and quick reactions.
During Read Aloud Thursday, Sparks listened to The Bear and the Piano. After the story, learners shared their favorite moments and discussed how the bear grew and changed from the beginning of the story to the end. Later that afternoon, Sparks continued exploring music by creating their own guitars. This was a challenging quest, but not one Spark gave up—each learner successfully created their own instrument!
We wrapped up the week with Fitness Friday, where Sparks designed their own workout with a focus on back muscles. It was an energizing and fun way to end the week feeling strong and accomplished.
Have a wonderful weekend and stay safe! We look forward to seeing everyone again next week.
