Dear Sparks’ Tribe Families,

What a momentous final week of Session 2 it has been at Sparks! This week was filled with high energy, high expectations, and a powerful drive for excellence as our Sparks reflected, created, performed, and celebrated together.

We began the week with Movement Monday, featuring a launch centered on how we process the “mad” we sometimes feel inside ourselves. Sparks were challenged to look inward for answers and reflect on how strong emotions can be transformed into positive action. In the afternoon, the studio buzzed with focus and creativity as Sparks worked independently and in groups to put the finishing touches on their artwork and talent show routines.

On Talent Show Tuesday, Sparks spent the morning participating in 360 Feedback for both their tribe and the studio. They thoughtfully discussed what is working well and what could be improved. At Acton Academy, 360 Feedback is an essential tool that empowers Sparks to speak up, be heard, and take ownership of positive change within their learning environment.

Wildlife Wednesday featured an engaging launch focused on the Shoebill Stork—a giant, prehistoric-looking bird. Sparks connected this unique animal to moments in their own lives when they have felt different or like the “odd bird out.” Sharing personal stories helped Sparks connect on a deeper level and strengthened the bonds within the tribe.

Thursday was all about preparation and celebration. In the morning, Sparks practiced their talent show performances one final time and carefully set up their art installations. After working together to complete a deep clean of the studio, they headed outside to play and recharge. The day concluded with a spectacular school-wide Talent Show, where Sparks showcased their creativity, courage, and talents. It was truly a highlight of the session and a wonderful way to celebrate their growth.
