Dear Sparks Tribe Families,

Here’s to the final week of Session 3—hooray, we made it! This memorable week was filled with exploration, creativity, collaboration, and heartfelt goodbyes as we celebrated Saiim’s final days as a Sparks guide.

The week began with an exciting field trip to the American Museum of Natural History. Sparks learners explored towering dinosaur skeletons and interactive exhibits about Earth’s ecosystems and evolving species. Afterward, they shared lunch and enjoyed healthy treats to celebrate Saiim’s time with us before returning to school for closing circle and hot chocolate together.

On Tuesday, Saiim led an engaging launch about the sense of sound. Learners reflected on how sound shapes their experiences and emotions. They then focused on Core Skills, completed their Biology Quest dioramas, and collaborated with their Launch Pad mentors.

Wednesday brought House Cup challenges, where Sparks learners strengthened connections with older peers through teamwork and friendly competition. They continued refining their dioramas, and Perla’s inspiring launch on marine animals sparked curiosity and excitement throughout the studio.

Thursday featured a special Hero’s Visit from Amber, a talented singer, guitarist, and pianist. Learners were inspired as they explored instruments, created original songs, and filmed their own music video using instruments they had crafted during Music Quest. They also enjoyed outdoor play and celebrated their creative accomplishments.

The week concluded with a joyful school-wide celebration, where learners honored Saiim with a surprise video, thoughtful gifts, and heartfelt goodbyes.

We wish everyone a wonderful break and look forward to seeing you for Session 4!
