Session 3 has started!-
Welcome to 2025 and Session 3. This session brings many exciting things for Discovery. Such as New Committees and Jobs systems and Committee payments based on rating by learners based on the work they did and how they did it! Our Nature Committee will take care of the Lettuce Grow and plan the discovery salad as well as plan for our pet corn snake. The Welcome Committee is in-charge of being morning greeter and mentoring the new learners as well as planning a team building game. The Art committee is planning art activities and maintaining our supplies. The Studio Wellness Committee is taking care of our studio and planning our new recycling system. The Games Committee is overseeing PE and our board games. As always we have our Falcon Buck Committee and Excellence Committee which cover their studio responsibilities and some new ones.
Quest!-
The Quest for this session is Newton’s Toy Workshop! We started exploring the basics of physics like gravity. This week we drew sketches of designs for cars we will create ourselves! Next week we will race our cars!
Writer’s Workshop!-
The WW for this session is the Hero’s Journey! We will be studying the stages of the Heroes Journey and at the end we will write a story using those stages
