Hello parents, learners, families, and friends.

This time we’re not going to start with Writers Workshop because this week was a pretty weird week. Guess why, because it's the last week of the school year! So let's talk about something else, not Writers Workshop. I have no idea what we're going to talk about, but let's see.

On Monday,  we had lots of Studio maintenance. In core skills, some people did core skills because that's what they're supposed to do. Some people were cleaning and the learners who are on the exhibition planning committee worked on the presentation for the exhibition. They worked really hard to make sure that it was done for everyone to see on Wednesday.

We did a lot of cleaning in the studio, too. We had to take home all of our personal things and even our cubbies. When we finished with our own personal things, we started deep cleaning the whole studio! I was one of the people who cleaned the office, and it was perfect. We even scrubbed the windows!  It was beautiful. We also had to take home our hero boards, which was kind of sad.

On Tuesday, we had core skills, and then we listened to the speeches by the Journey learners.  Everyone dressed up as a person from history and gave a speech they wrote for them. Then, after that, we watched the movie Elemental. This was our reward for finishing studio maintenance. And finally, on Wednesday, it was the exhibition! We first had to check in our computers with Ashley and look at our badge plan with Marie.

That’s it for this week and the year, see you next year! Have a good summer!
