Hello parents. This week we did a lot of fun things!
First we're going to start talking about Writers Workshop. This session we have the podcast Writers Workshop The Learners explored different podcasts and then wrote about them.
Now we're going to talk about Quest. For quest we have an entomology Quest. The Learners saw different kinds of bugs and insects and how they grow through the years. Then, they have to pick a certain bug. You can choose from different projects to show what you learned about your bug. You could do a presentation, a poster, pin a real specimen, or a 3D diagram. If you do a presentation you get 25 points, if you do a poster you get 20 points, if you do a 3D diagram you get 25 points. And last but not least if you do a specimen you get 20 points. If you earn a certain amount of points then you get something special.
Now we're going to move on to civ. In civ we learned about Ancient Egypt. We learned what their life was like back then. Then we had to write what kind of job you would have wanted if you lived in ancient Egypt.
Now let's see what we did in art. For art we were exploring with watercolors. Learners made lots of different designs Some were abstract some were not some were trees some were hearts And some were everything The learners Had a lot of fun exploring with watercolors Well that's all for today Have a good weekend.
