Hello parents and families. This week we learned a lot!
Let's start talking about Quest. In Quest we did lots of things. Most groups worked on the specimen. Some groups made the 3D diagram of an insect and some created a presentation. They worked very hard on it. People started getting points. Some got 25, some already got 50, some got 20 and some got 0. It's okay, in the end everyone will get points and there’s still lots of time left! Now let's move on to WW.
In WW people started to write their podcast. We are all on different parts of this writer’s workshop. Some learners are brainstorming ideas for their podcast and some are already writing their scripts. I can't wait to see everyone's podcast. They put a lot of work into it. Now let's move on to Civ.
In Civ, we continued learning about ancient Egypt and how they once lived. This time we learned about the pharaohs who were the kings of ancient Egypt. We had to pick a pharaoh to research on and then. We did this game where the learners battled to see whose pharaoh was the better ruler. Each learner shared information about their pharaoh and then we voted on who was better. Some learners won and some learners lost but still it was very fun for everyone. Now let's talk a bit about art.
In art we worked with watercolors again but this time we also used Sharpies! Some drew only with watercolors and some people drew only with sharpies. The learners made lots of interesting designs that were all very beautiful. Well this is it for today. Have a good weekend!
