Hello families and friends,
We’re excited to share highlights from Week 1 of Session 6!
Writers Workshop (WW)
This session, WW focuses on writing letters for ourselves and others. Each week, learners reflect on a part of their journey and write a different type of letter. This week, learners wrote letters about the business fair for themselves. Next year, at the start of Session 5, Marie will return these letters to help learners plan for a successful business fair! Once letters are complete, learners have the option to play
Night Zookeeper, a fun activity usually reserved for Session 6 Writers Workshop. Learners have a full week to complete each letter.
Quest – Growing Curiosity
This session’s Quest is Growing Curiosity, where learners create challenges for their peers. In Week 1, the guides led team challenges, including an exciting human hamster wheel activity. Learners are looking forward to more team challenges throughout the session.
Specials – Memory Book & Entomology:
Memory Book Special: Learners reflect on their favorite moments from the year and create pages to preserve these memories. It’s a favorite activity for many!
Entomology Special: Learners explore and study insects, including growing them in the studio. It’s a hands-on, fun, and educational experience.
That’s all for Week 1! We can’t wait to see what next week brings. Have a wonderful weekend!
