Hello families and friends,

Writer’s Workshop (WW)

This week, learners wrote letters of support, starting with “To Someone Who…” and reflecting on personal challenges. Some shared struggles with Lexia, Khan, friendships, or receiving strikes. After describing their challenge, learners wrote about lessons learned and how they improved. These letters will be printed so learners next year can revisit them when facing their own challenges.

Quest – Growing Curiosity

This week’s Quest, led by Avigail, Ella G, and Cora, focused on acting. Learners first wrote scripts, then recorded their performances, and finally edited their videos. At the end, a contest was held to vote on the best movie. It was a fun, collaborative experience that highlighted creativity and teamwork.

Specials

In Entomology, learners observed painted lady caterpillars and hornworm moths. Some caterpillars are already in their cocoons! Learners also drew the insects and wrote letters to the bug supplier since the other shipment couldn’t arrive. In Memory Book, learners continued documenting their favorite memories from this year, with plans to print pictures soon.

That’s it for this week! Have a wonderful weekend, and we’ll see you next week.

For those who want their text to have a more handwritten or artistic feel, exploring a Cursive Text Generator like CursiveGenerator.org can be very useful. These tools use Unicode characters to create text that mimics various cursive styles. It’s super easy to use: just type your desired text, browse through the generated options, and copy the one that best fits your aesthetic. This is perfect for adding a unique flair to your online communications, digital art projects, or anywhere you want text that breaks away from the standard block letters.
