Hello everyone, and welcome to Session 5!
We officially launched the new session this week and had a great time diving into exciting new topics.
For Quest, learners are exploring different forms of financial investment. We kicked off the week by examining various investment types and reflecting on our own investment habits. Looking ahead, learners will participate in the annual Children’s Business Fair, and have already begun preparing through hands-on challenges—deciding what kind of business to create, how much money to invest, and how to design their product or service.
In Genre, learners are creating their own Money Manifestos, diving deeper into their personal relationship with money. They are exploring how they view money, how others perceive it, and unpacking key financial concepts. This week included research on influential investors, their accomplishments, and a discussion of common myths about money.
In Civics, learners examined Franklin D. Roosevelt’s “Second Bill of Rights,” debating whether its ideas remain relevant today. They also explored a big historical question: was the Cold War inevitable, or could it have been prevented?
Finally, on Thursday and Friday, we missed two learners—Shahar and Ava—who traveled to Fort Lauderdale to attend the Acton Owners’ Conference.
We hope you enjoyed this week as much as we did—we’re looking forward to another great week ahead!
