Dear Parents,

Happy Friday! Here’s a quick recap of our week in Sparks.

On Monday they:

  • Began with another amazing read aloud for Launch.

  • Played monopoly for Quest and learned the importance of leveraging money

  • Worked through Core

  • Enjoyed outdoor free time

Tuesday was met with:

  • A discussion on what it means to stand up for yourself — even to your friends.

  • Participated in Core

  • Writers Workshop where they wrote and designed their own flyers for CBF

  • Played in the woods and on the playground

Wednesday was another full day for the Sparks Tribe. They:

  • Discussed the importance of creating inventions. Did it matter or was it okay to use the same, older things if they worked?

  • Jumped into their Core Work

  • Participated in Quest, where they played more money-related games

  • Participated in House Cup, alongside the rest of the school.

On Thursday the Sparks:

  • Began with a launch on the book, “Ms Nelson is Missing” and discussed how their studio would be different if they didn’t have guides present.

  • Participated in Core

  • Used Writers Workshop to finish working on their flyers and make a few photocopies to share with friends and family

  • Enjoyed the outdoors

To end the week, the Sparks:

  • Launched their day with a discussion on fitness. Then they did a short “work out” together as a Tribe.

  • Jumped right into their Core Work

  • Played in the woods and on the playground

Wishing you a wonderful weekend and a Happy Mothers’ Day.
