Dear Parents,
Happy Friday! Here’s a quick recap of our week in Sparks.
On Monday they:
Began with another amazing read aloud for Launch.
Played monopoly for Quest and learned the importance of leveraging money
Worked through Core
Enjoyed outdoor free time
Tuesday was met with:
A discussion on what it means to stand up for yourself — even to your friends.
Participated in Core
Writers Workshop where they wrote and designed their own flyers for CBF
Played in the woods and on the playground
Wednesday was another full day for the Sparks Tribe. They:
Discussed the importance of creating inventions. Did it matter or was it okay to use the same, older things if they worked?
Jumped into their Core Work
Participated in Quest, where they played more money-related games
Participated in House Cup, alongside the rest of the school.
On Thursday the Sparks:
Began with a launch on the book, “Ms Nelson is Missing” and discussed how their studio would be different if they didn’t have guides present.
Participated in Core
Used Writers Workshop to finish working on their flyers and make a few photocopies to share with friends and family
Enjoyed the outdoors
To end the week, the Sparks:
Launched their day with a discussion on fitness. Then they did a short “work out” together as a Tribe.
Jumped right into their Core Work
Played in the woods and on the playground
