It's hard to believe, but we've already completed 5 weeks of school! Time flies when you're having fun, right?

First off, let's give another HUGE round of applause to the Sparks for their incredible victory in the 2025 Acton Academy Zone 6 Lip Dub!

Now, let's recap the week's adventures:

  • Mindset Monday: We kicked off the week with a focus on friendship. After reading "The Not So Friendly Friend" by Christina Furnival, Sparks shared insightful ideas and tips on navigating friendships. It was wonderful to see them supporting each other! In the afternoon, Sparks voted for their tribe scribes, who worked diligently to draft their contract in just two days!

  • Team Building Tuesday: Sparks explored the 6 friendship archetypes and shared which ones they identify with and which archetype they admire. After launch,  Sparks played a game of "over-under.” It was a great way to practice teamwork and communication, as well as getting to know each person in their tribe a little better.

  • Worldwide Wednesday: We delved into the concept of culture and community, learning how different groups collaborate. This theme resonated well right before the House Cup! In the afternoon, Sparks all signed their finalized contract; some by writing their names and others with handprints, solidifying their commitment to the tribe.

  • Conundrum Thursday: Sparks tackled a thought-provoking conundrum about the last (not-real) fruit tree of it’s kind in the world. It was fascinating to witness their discussions on such a complex topic!

  • Friday's Launch: Sparks showcased their creativity and flexibility by collaboratively writing a story, one sentence at a time. It was amazing to see the final product!

Have a fantastic weekend, Sparks! We can't wait to see you back on Tuesday!
