Welcome to the fourth week of the first session’s Launchpad newsletter!
This week in Genre, we again focused on writing our NGA blog posts. We styled our pieces after Seth Godin, an author known for his short but very informative blog posts. Our goal was to pick a topic we were interested in and write about it in under 200 words. This proved challenging to some, but in the end, we all created posts we felt proud of.
In Quest, we continued playing our A Game (the card games we played throughout this past session). Although, this week, the competition was a lot more fierce. We ‘played to win - at all costs,’ which meant that our weekly points depended on our winnings in the game. The more points a player won in the game, the more points they would get on Journey Tracker. At times, it got very competitive between the Launchpadders, but we were all able to not let ourselves be overwhelmed by the competition and focus on what was most important - having fun with the tribe.
We also focused a lot on our NGA this week, preparing NGA-related launches, narrowing down our industries, and, of course, spending hours and hours on research. This week, we had a Launchpadder from another Acton Academy, Kate, come to share her NGA journey. She was a truly inspiring hero, and we all learned so much from her visit, such as the importance of networking and connection and how taking initiative is vital to a successful lifestyle and career. We are all so grateful to Kate for coming to AABC’s Launchpad this past week!
Overall, this was a very fun, enlightening, and interesting week in the Launchpad studio. Thanks for reading!
