Welcome back to the second week of session 4!
During this week's quest, the Falcons finished exploring the different bodily systems. Together with their quest teams, they also built models of the heart and lungs to help them understand how these organs work. The weekly photos folder contains pictures and videos of the Falcons sharing their models.
During Genre, the Falcons brainstormed different topics for their podcasts. The constraint is to choose a topic that is related to Acton. They spent time listening to different podcasts about Acton to help them get better prepared for the challenge. Here are some links if you are interested in exploring them too:
For civ, the Falcons, the Protestant Reformation, and the Magna Carta. The main question they discussed on Wednesday was, if you were alive during the Protestant Reformation, would you have sided with the Catholic Church, Martin Luther, John Calvin, or none of the three? Why?
This week’s launches sparked deep discussions on ethical challenges in the medical field. Learners debated tough questions such as: Should a doctor proceed with treatment if they’re only 80% confident in a diagnosis? How is Telemedicine reshaping healthcare? And who would they trust more—an AI doctor or a human doctor when given conflicting treatment plans?
On Friday, the Falcons spent most of their morning creating a plan for their next big field trip. They debated between many places and decided on three main options. Each Falcon chose the option he liked the most, and they worked in teams to start finding transportation methods, accommodations, and fun attractions to visit.
Next week the Falcons will go to Time Mission (again :)), start learning about testing in the medical field, and dive into writing the scripts for their podcast. We can not wait to tell you all about it!
