Welcome to the 5th session’s last newsletter!

This week, we completely finished our short stories. We began the greenlighting process by reading it out loud to each other. After hearing everybody's short stories, we approved all of them and voted for the best short story to be included in this week’s newsletter. Ava’s story was voted on, and you will find it at the end of the Newsletter.

For Civ, we researched the changes that occurred between the different world powers around and after the year 1900. On Tuesday, we researched Scientists, Artists, and psychologists who all worked to change the world faster and faster with each passing year. On Thursday, we looked at World War 1. We saw how the deterioration of peace between every country led to the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, which was the last shove to push the world into war. We also researched what happened after World War 1 and what it meant for the world after it.

During Quest, we finalized the displays and scripts we were going to share during the exhibition. After completely finalizing everything, we gave and got feedback from each other on our displays and improved them in any way that we could.

On Thursday, we had our Spanish Food Market! Along with the Launchpad learners' family members, a lot of learners from the Sparks, Discovery, and Journey studios also came. First, to show how much we learned, we each shared our displays in Spanish and then in English. We were all a bit nervous sharing our scripts in Spanish, but we all ended up doing great and were all understood when we spoke Spanish.

Thank you for reading! Hope to see you again for the next session!
