Hello Sparks Families,

What an energetic and joy-filled week we had in the Sparks Tribe! From movement and creativity to nature exploration and storytelling, Week 6 of Session 2 was filled with meaningful learning experiences for every Spark.

Movement Monday

We kicked off the week with music, motion, and a thoughtful discussion about what inspires us to dance when we hear a “good” song. Learners shared wonderful insights, some love a strong beat, others connect deeply with lyrics, and many simply enjoy the freedom of movement. In the afternoon, creativity took center stage as Sparks began crafting clay sculptures that will be showcased in next week’s art show. We can’t wait for you to see their imaginative work!

Talent Tuesday

Our week continued with a heartwarming show-and-tell experience. Learners proudly shared special items from home, explaining why they are meaningful. This activity supported confidence-building, clear communication, and active listening skills.

Wildlife Wednesday

Midweek, Sparks dove into the fascinating world of ocean animals. Learners explored sea creatures and their habitats, asked thoughtful questions, and developed a deeper appreciation for marine life and the natural world.

Hero’s Journey Thursday

On Thursday, Sparks enjoyed Iggy Peck, Architect by Andrea Beaty. After the story, learners reflected on how they might respond in Iggy’s situation, leading to rich discussions about empathy, perseverance, and staying true to one’s passions.

Alpine Friday

We wrapped up the week with an outdoor adventure at Alpine Scout Camp. Sparks spent the morning with their prospective houses for the upcoming House Cup, building connections and enjoying fresh air. After a refreshing hike, learners returned to school for a cozy hot chocolate break and ended the day painting beautiful artwork together.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Monday.

Wishing you a restful and wonderful weekend!
