Dear Sparks Families,
We hope you are staying warm! Despite the snowstorm, our Sparks after-school enrichment program had an exciting fourth week of Session 3 filled with creativity, STEM problem-solving, music exploration, and movement.
We kicked off the week with Time Tuesday, where Sparks explored musical instruments and learned what it takes to form a band. In the afternoon, students applied their creativity by designing and building their own tambourines.
During Fort Macro Wednesday, Sparks tackled a STEM challenge involving hidden treasure, strengthening their critical thinking and collaboration skills. Later, they continued working on their detailed biology dioramas, demonstrating focus and scientific understanding.
For Read Aloud Thursday, Sparks enjoyed Music by Jill McDonald, discovering instruments from around the world and learning how different cultures create unique musical sounds.
We wrapped up the week with Fitness Friday! Students designed their own leg-strength workouts and completed an energetic 8-minute H.I.T. session, building strength, endurance, and confidence.
Thank you for being part of our Sparks community. Have a wonderful weekend, and we look forward to another week of learning and fun!
