Sparks Tribe Weekly Newsletter: A Sparkling First Week!
Dear Sparks Tribe Families,
Here's a quick rundown of our action-packed week:
Muscle Monday kicked off our week with an exciting video exploration into the world of muscles. Spark learners discovered how our powerful leg muscles work in concert to enable a range of activities—from BMX biking to snowboarding and running. It was a dynamic start, sparking curiosity about how our bodies perform incredible feats.
On Team Building Tuesday, the Sparks teamed up for an engaging photo scavenger hunt. This activity was designed to help our learners familiarize themselves with the different areas of their studios while working collaboratively. It was a fantastic opportunity for Sparks to bond and discover the nooks and crannies of their learning environment. We also proudly launched our first-ever Sparks Writer’s Workshop. This new initiative promises to be an exciting platform for Sparks to hone their story creating skills and share their ideas.
All About Me Wednesday was definitely all about the Sparks; their creativity and collaboration. With the help of a few Discovery learners, Sparks recorded their lip dub dance for the highly anticipated lip dub challenge.The Sparks worked together to choreograph their dance and demonstrated remarkable school spirit and camaraderie to complete this challenge.
Thoughtful Thursday was dedicated to kindness. We had a heartfelt launch on the importance of showing kindness in our daily lives. The discussions highlighted various ways our Sparks can demonstrate kindness, reinforcing our community values and fostering a nurturing environment for everyone.
We wrapped up the week with Read Aloud Friday. The Sparks Tribe enjoyed a reading of “The Monster Who Lost His Mean” by Tiffany Strelitz Haber. The story sparked a meaningful discussion about the themes of kindness and change, as learners engaged with the book’s message and shared their thoughts.
As we head into the weekend, we hope everyone takes a moment to reflect on the amazing experiences of this week and enjoys some well-deserved rest. We can’t wait to continue our adventures next week with even more learning and fun.
