Welcome back to Acton Academy Bergen County for the last session of this school year! We hope you had a rejuvenating break and are ready for an exciting finish to the academic year with us.
Our short week kicked off with a blast on Tinkering Tuesday! Sparks ignited their creativity with discussions on inventing for the world. They delved into the fascinating realm of innovation, pondering not only what they could create but also how they would handle public reception if their inventions weren't initially embraced. Then came Project Time, where Sparks got hands-on crafting bird feeders from pine cones, blending creativity with care for nature.
Wednesday was all about language and communication as Sparks dove into the world of words. They engaged in a spirited game of charades, experiencing the challenge of conveying ideas without speaking, and then explored playing by giving others a one word hint to help them guess.Â
Thursday was a day of inspiration as Sparks welcomed Harel, a hero in the realm of photography. His visit provided valuable insights into his extensive work and ignited sparks of creativity among our students.
Finally, Forest Friday brought a breath of fresh air as Sparks received new journals, took a forest stroll, and embarked on a journey of storytelling, weaving tales from the memories they've cherished throughout the year in our beloved forest.
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for next Wednesday, as we gear up for the Acton Olympics—an event sure to be filled with teamwork, camaraderie, and plenty of fun challenges.
As we embark on this final stretch together, let's celebrate the journey we've shared and look forward to the exciting adventures that await us in the weeks ahead.
Wishing you all a wonderful week ahead!
