This week kicked off with a bang!
As part of Quest, learners launched their investing competition using the Stock Market Game, a real-time simulator where each participant invested $100,000 based on their research. After exploring the stock market and different types of investments, learners selected strategies and created presentations to teach their peers.
On Friday, we welcomed a special Hero’s Visit from Ofer, an entrepreneur who shared his journey, including launching his third startup. His experience offered valuable insights into innovation, persistence, and real-world business challenges.
In Genre, learners researched influential investors and selected one to study more deeply. They also explored the concept of financial independence, calculating how much money they would need to live without worrying about working, and reflecting on whether that number matched their expectations.
Tuesday featured a hands-on real-world math case study. Instead of Core Skills, learners worked in teams to solve a practical problem: planning a trip with a $1,300 budget and deciding whether to drive or fly. They evaluated cost, convenience, and other factors, and on Friday presented their solutions to the Studio, pitching why their plan was the most effective.
In Civics, learners examined major global conflicts, including the Cold War and the Vietnam War. They reflected on the decisions made during these periods and considered how they might have acted in similar situations.
It was an engaging and dynamic week—and we’re looking forward to what’s ahead!
