The week started with a Hero’s Visit: Angie, Zoe’s mom came to talk about her educational journey discovering many different career paths. At this point in her life, she is trying to get her Ph.D. in nursing. She shared about her difficulties in college and the fun places her curious mind brought her, like working with the Olympics.
For quest this week, we had Board Game Quest. The falcons learned new board games with their assigned groups. The games were Kingdomino, Unearth, Carcassone, Splendor, Ticket to Ride, and Monopoly Crooked Cash. After the group finishes their game, they could have played another group game or a special one if no other group has finished. The games were categorized into Easy, Medium, and Hard games, which the learners could sort themselves into.
For Writers Workshop this week, some falcons are trying to memorize their hero’s speech. Some Falcons chose famous heroes like Elon Musk or Martin Luther King Jr., while others have chosen more personal heroes like their parents.
