Can you believe we made it to the end of the 1st session?
This week started with two intensive days of the Falcons working towards completing their last main tasks: The Talk Show and their Interview Story. Ask your child to show you their final products for both; they worked hard to get there!
For Monday’’s morning launch, we had our first ICEE check-up. The Falcons rated their studio in four parameters: Intentionality, Civility, Excellence, and Energy. We had an insightful discussion about the lowest and highest ratings and what they want to do differently next session.
For the last Civ of this session, the Falcons learned about Elizabeth the first. They led an excellent discussion around this question: You are a young Elizabeth with little chance to become Queen since you are third in line for the throne after a younger brother (Edward) and an older sister (Mary.) Do you:
Renounce your right to succession, live a life of luxury on your Hatfield estate, free from the intrigues of the Tudor Court but eliminating any chance of ever becoming Queen; or
Refuse to renounce your right to the throne and risk being imprisoned in the Tower of London and perhaps beheaded like your mother, Anne Boleyn.
On Thursday, the Falcons hosted their first exhibition for the year! It was a beautiful mix of laughter and creativity. We hope you all enjoyed it!
