Hello parents, learners, and family members,

This week was filled with exciting learning experiences, creative projects, and hands-on activities across Writer’s Workshop, Quest, and collaborative learning time.

In this session’s Podcast Writer’s Workshop, learners explored different types of podcasts and began developing their own ideas. They listened critically to podcasts and completed research papers analyzing what they liked, what they would improve, and why. The number of research papers depended on each learner’s badge level, encouraging personalized growth and challenge. After completing their research, learners chose to work independently or with partners to brainstorm ideas for their own podcast creation, building skills in research, creativity, and communication.

In our Weather Quest, learners worked in teams to explore weather science. They created posters explaining what they already knew about weather and added new facts through research and discussion. Learners also participated in hands-on STEM activities such as building wind vanes, rain gauges, and barometers, helping them understand how weather is measured and observed.
