Welcome back to our first week of school. We've had an exciting first few days, with much exploration, growth, and connection. Here's a recap of the week:
Wednesday's Welcome Ceremony: As learners and parents alike know, Wednesday began with our Welcome Ceremony, where we shared dinner, mingled and, most importantly, signed our contracts, in which we promised to uphold the school's rules throughout the year. We then said our earnest goodbyes and excitedly prepared for the first day of school.
Thoughtful Thursday: We began our first day with a launch centered around thoughtfulness. The Sparks watched a pep talk by Kid President and then discussed what they thought their biggest challenge would be, what would help them most, and what they were most excited for this school year. Then the learners successfully navigated their first day -- completing Core, delegating jobs for studio maintenance, and most importantly, fostering friendships.
Our First Friday: A second successful day in the Sparks' Kingdom! In addition to their everyday tasks, the learners also partook in House Cups, through which they played games and made friends with learners within other studios (e.g. Discovery, Journey, and Launch Pad) and worked on art projects.
