As the final week of our incredible year at Acton Academy Bergen County comes to a close, we are filled with pride, gratitude, and joy, reflecting on the growth and accomplishments of each learner. This week was the perfect way to wrap up a journey full of creativity, connection, and discovery.

Memory Monday began with the heartfelt story In a Jar by Deborah Marcero. This beautifully illustrated tale sparked a powerful discussion about emotions and the importance of expressing rather than bottling them up. Sparks shared strategies and offered each other supportive ideas for how to manage feelings when they arise. It was a moving moment of connection and insight, and we were so proud of the vulnerability and care shown in that circle. In the afternoon, Sparks continued their Cooking Quest, adding a delicious touch to an already meaningful day, as they made sushi and lemonade.

Water Tuesday made waves with a deep dive into the mysteries of the ocean. Sparks explored the differences between deep-sea animals and land creatures, and the curiosity was palpable. Following the launch, Sparks got to work on a full studio transformation—rearranging furniture and conducting a deep clean of both studios. It was a big job, but they tackled it together with focus and teamwork!

Sing and Dance Wednesday was full of celebration! Sparks dedicated the morning to practicing their graduation dance until they felt confident performing it on their own. In the afternoon, it was time for the big event:

Graduation! We proudly celebrated Nevo, Steven, and Neta as they graduated from Sparks and moved up to the Discovery Studio. Their courage, creativity, and kindness have been a gift to our tribe.

We wrapped up the week—and the year—on a high note with a full-school outing to Mollicone Park on Thursday. From an exciting game of tail-tag to creative arts and crafts and bouncing joyfully on the castle inflatable, it was the perfect ending to a wonderful year.

Thank you, families, for your support, trust, and partnership throughout this journey. We wish you all a joyful, restful, and adventure-filled summer.

We look forward to seeing you again in September for another magical year at Acton!
