Dear Spark Families,
As we near the end of a truly unforgettable year, the Sparks are making every moment count. This week was packed with joy, reflection, movement, and hands-on learning.
Memory Monday began with the heartfelt story Little Bat in Night School. After listening, Sparks took a thoughtful pause to reflect on their own very first day of school. Many remembered feeling nervous or excited, and it was touching to hear how those emotions have grown into confidence, friendship, and curiosity. The contrast between then and now was a beautiful reminder of how far each learner has come.
Water Tuesday took a creative and scientific turn as Sparks explored the power of water. After watching a short video on how the Grand Canyon was formed, Sparks headed outdoors to engage with their very own Montessori-style water trays. These trays included different shaped canyons, lakes, and riverbeds. Learners observed firsthand how water flows and forms diverse landscapes—an engaging and splash-filled way to understand natural science.
Sing and Dance Wednesday was full of rhythm and emotion! Sparks danced to the iconic Bye Bye Bye and took time to talk about goodbyes—how they give them, what makes a goodbye meaningful, and how they’d like to say goodbye to their friends this year. Whether it's a letter, a hug, or one last playdate, every goodbye shared was heartfelt and unique—just like each Spark.
Reflection Thursday was especially powerful. Sparks offered feedback to the Guides about what’s working in the studio, what they’d like to keep the same, and what changes they’d love to see next year. Their thoughtful responses and honest reflections are instrumental in helping shape future experiences for the Spark Tribe. It was a meaningful way to empower their voices and close out the year with intention.
On Friday, we celebrated big! Sparks joined the whole school at Millicone Park for the final House Cup of the year. The energy, teamwork, and joy were contagious.
Throughout the week, learners have been rehearsing daily for their graduation performance. They’ve poured their energy and excitement into perfecting their choreography—and they cannot wait to share it with you all at graduation!
Enjoy a restful weekend, and we’ll see you all next week for our final days together. Let’s finish strong, with hearts full and spirits high.
