To kickstart the New Year, we traveled to the amazing city of Rome for our Marvelous World Mondays. Sparks watched a short video showing the Colosseum and different famous landmarks in Rome. Sparks then discussed what landmark interested them the most and why. Sparks also discussed different reasons why they would or wouldn’t want to visit Rome.
For our Science Wednesday, Sparks discussed the difference between the air on Earth and the air in Space. Sparks witness two grand experiments about gravity and air. Sparks voted on whether a sheet of paper or a stuffed animal penguin would hit the ground first when dropped from the same height.
For our Solar System Thursdays Sparks watched a video on the ever expanding universe. Sparks learned about and discussed the planets that make up our solar system. Sparks also discussed what they would like to learn about Space and which planet is their favorite.
