Hello Sparks Families!
We hope you had a wonderful week filled with learning and growth. Here's a recap of what we did this week in the Sparks’ Kingdom:
We started our week with Growth-mindset Monday, where Sparks learned about how neurons in our brain work. They discussed moments in their lives when they felt their brain working hard and what they were doing in that moment. By recognizing the hard work their brain is doing, they were able to develop a growth mindset and understand that with effort and perseverance, they can continue to grow and learn.
On Conundrum Tuesday, Sparks voted on how to help "Spark City" and its growing population. The group debated on the best transportation options for the city.
Our Family Day Wednesday was extra special, as we had Amir come in and share his story of how he started his own ice cream and restaurant businesses. Sparks had many questions for him, learning about the ups and downs of running a business and how perseverance and hard work led to his success.
For Hero's Journey Thursday, our Sparks guide Theo shared an interactive story about "Sparks Island." The Sparks were fully engaged, creating the story in real-time, and were excited to be able to create a story together as a tribe. This activity helped the group understand the importance of working together, imagination, and creativity.
Finally, on Fitness Friday, Sparks learned about the two major muscles in their chest and the other muscles targeted during chest exercises. They then chose exercises that targeted their chest and completed a 5-minute chest workout, encouraging a healthy and active lifestyle.
We hope you had a fantastic week filled with growth and learning. We're excited to see what the next week has in store for us!
