Dear Sparks Families,

What a blooming week it’s been! As we head into a long weekend, we wanted to share some of the incredible moments and learning experiences from our second week of Session 5. The Sparks Tribe continues to amaze us with their energy, curiosity, and creativity!

💪 Fitness Monday – AABC Ninja Warrior Challenge Sparks kicked off the week with power and determination as they embraced the AABC Ninja Warrior Challenge! With hearts pumping and spirits high, each Spark tapped into their inner athlete and showed true grit, perseverance, and commitment to self-excellence. It was a powerful start to the week that reminded us what’s possible when we push ourselves beyond our comfort zones!

🌿 Community Tuesday – Animal Societies & Our Role in Community We took a wild journey into the animal kingdom to explore how different species create their own unique communities—with their own roles, rules, and responsibilities. This sparked a rich discussion about the ways we, too, contribute to our human communities—at Acton, at home, and beyond. The Sparks made thoughtful connections and showed great insight as young citizens of their tribe.

💼 Entrepreneurship Wednesday – Shark Tank Inspiration This week’s entrepreneurial spirit came alive as Sparks watched a clip from Shark Tank featuring an inspiring 8-year-old entrepreneur. Inspired by the creativity and courage of a fellow young change maker, Sparks dove into brainstorming extra ideas for their own businesses for the upcoming Business Fair. The creativity was buzzing—our young innovators are on the rise!

🌸 Hero’s Visit Thursday – Flower Power & Earth Day Prep In celebration of Earth Day coming up next week, Sparks explored the art and profession of floristry. After learning about flower arranging, they got hands-on with their

own floral creations. The room was bursting with color, care, and pride—it was a beautiful moment of self-expression and connection to the natural world.
