Sparks: Session 5, Week 6

Dear Sparks Families,

As the week comes to a close, we’re wrapping up an incredible chapter in the Sparks kingdom—full of creativity, learning, and collaboration. And we’re all eagerly looking forward to seeing you tomorrow at the Children’s Business Fair on Saturday, May 17, 2025!

This final week of the session truly went out with a bang. Here’s a glimpse into all the joy and hard work that filled our days:

Monday kicked off with a big community gathering in Discovery’s room, where the Sparks joined the rest of the school to vote on next session’s after-school clubs. It was inspiring to see so many voices contributing to what comes next.

Tuesday transformed into Fitness Tuesday! The tribe got their bodies moving with a high-energy workout led by none other than Sonic the Hedgehog himself (well, almost!). Later that day, Sparks poured their focus into finalizing signs and sales pictures in preparation for the big event.

On Wednesday, we welcomed a real-life hero—Frank Cannata, a business owner who specializes in graphic design and advertising. The Sparks were captivated by the colorful world of computer graphics and inspired by his story and creative journey.

Thursday brought a meaningful moment of reflection during a heartfelt lunch discussion about businesses that serve their local communities, including nonprofits and social enterprises. The conversation sparked empathy, understanding, and deeper thinking about how business can be a force for good.

Today, Friday, we celebrated all the hard work with a special smoothie-making session—Launchpad joined the Sparks for a shared launch and delicious treats. The energy carried through the rest of the day as Sparks enjoyed games and craft activities with friends across the school, making for a festive and joy-filled finale to the week.
