Dear Sparks Families,

Welcome back! We hope your break was restful and full of joy. The Sparks Tribe came back ready to jump into Session 6 with energy, curiosity, and community spirit. It’s been a full and exciting first week, and we’re so happy to share a glimpse of what your learners have been up to.

Our week began with a splash—literally! For Monday's launch, Sparks dipped their toes into a discussion about water and aquatic wildlife. This flowed into a lively game of Forced Choices, where each learner chose a side and then practiced the art of persuasion, trying to convince others to join their perspective. It was a fun, engaging way to strengthen communication and critical thinking.

Wednesday brought our weekly Sing and Dance celebration, and this week the Sparks really had to stay on their toes—literally again! They followed along with a remix of the classic Macarena, testing their rhythm and coordination. Afterward, the whole school divided into their houses for the always-spirited House Cup. The Sparks brought their usual enthusiasm and teamwork to the mix!

In the afternoon, Sparks began dreaming up their personalized memory books. From brainstorming favorite moments to voting on ideas to include, the excitement was palpable. The realization that each learner is creating a one-of-a-kind keepsake brought a sense of pride and anticipation for the end of year.

On Reflection Thursday, the morning began with a gentler pace. Sparks listened to the story The Reflection In Me, which led into a thoughtful discussion about joy and self-empowerment. Each learner shared words of encouragement—not just for themselves, but for their fellow tribe members. It was a heartfelt and meaningful time that helped deepen the cultural bond within our community.

Friday wrapped the week up deliciously. Sparks started the day with the book Too Many Carrots, using it as a springboard to explore what it means to have "too much" and how we can share our abundance. That theme carried into the afternoon, when Sparks came together to prepare veggie wraps. Cooking and eating together created a sense of joy and collaboration that perfectly capped off the week.
