Hello Families!

This week was a little different than usual because it was the end of the session! We had some special events, including Water Day, studio cleaning, and elections for next session. Because of all the extra activities, we didn't have as much time for things like Art and Civ, but we still had a fantastic week.

Monday

Monday was a pretty normal day. We had D.E.A.R., lunch, and then Quest for North Studio and Writers Workshop for South Studio.

During Quest, we had several fun options to choose from. One option was creating a short video about a business and sharing information about it for the AABC Instagram page. We also continued a challenge connected to our discussion about whether money can buy happiness. For this activity, learners researched charities they thought would be meaningful recipients of Falcon Bucks. It's part of a larger project, and it's been exciting to see where our ideas can lead.

During Writers Workshop, most learners finished their projects. Those who still had work to complete just needed to record their presentation and get it approved.

Tuesday

Tuesday was another regular day, but instead of Civ or Art, we had a surprise special activity—Water Play!

Everyone had a great time cooling off, playing games, and enjoying time together. It was definitely one of the highlights of the week.

Wonky Wednesday

Wednesday was called "Wonky Wednesday." It wasn't actually that wonky, but it was packed with special events!

We held our bake sale, and learners contributed all kinds of delicious treats. We also watched a movie together, which was a lot of fun. To make the day even more special, one of our learners celebrated a birthday and shared donuts with everyone.

Topsy-Turvy Thursday

Thursday was "Topsy-Turvy Thursday."

We started the day with verbal 360 feedback and then worked on our Core Skills. One of the most exciting parts of the day was finding out our new homerooms for Session 6. Afterward, we played games with our new homeroom groups and got to know some of the learners we'll be working with next session.

We also enjoyed indoor free time and completed Extreme Studio Maintenance to get our space ready for the end of the session. Since Friday would be spent at Alpine, Thursday was our last day at the school.

We also held our "Last, Last Lost and Found"—that's what we called it because it was the final Lost and Found of the session!

Looking Ahead

Tomorrow is Alpine Day!

We're excited to spend the day outdoors, have fun with our friends, and celebrate the end of another great session together.

Yay! We made it through our long week, and it was definitely worth it!

See you next session!
