We made it to the end of our first session! Our first session was filled with so much vigor! They learned so much as a tribe, and, in only seven weeks Discovery tackled new and familiar challenges that put a lot into perspective for our next session. From survival skills in quest to speeches and hero boards in Writer’s Workshop, and art challenges that immersed the learners in limitless creativity and accomplishing SMART goals for Khan and Lexia!
On our last week, the learners reflected on the past six weeks at Acton. The learners had the opportunity to prepare for session two, including “applying” for new jobs and responsibilities and learning new systems that will be implemented in the next session.
For the last CIV of the session, they learned about Amerigo Vespucci and his expedition around the world!
Excitedly, we ended the week with a family camping trip at Cheesequake State Park. Thank you to all families who attended and shared this special learner-driven experience with Discovery.
We hope you have a fun and relaxing week, recharge, and see you all for session two!
