Hello from the Journey Studio! This week, learners completed the final drafts of their Genre stories and finished building their space stations for Quest. It was a productive and exciting week filled with collaboration, creativity, and reflection.
Genre
On Monday, learners gave and received peer critiques focused on sentence fluency, verb tense, sentence length, rhythm, and dialogue. On Tuesday, critiques continued with a focus on grammar, punctuation, and dialogue. On Wednesday, learners used the feedback they received to revise their stories and prepare their final drafts. By Thursday, all final drafts were reviewed and officially greenlighted, an exciting milestone!
Quest
On Monday, each team created a plan outlining their goals for the week. Teams then continued working on their space stations, refining structure and details. On Wednesday, teams selected a space station name and logo, designed a rocket name and logo, and created a mission badge. On Thursday, learners added final touches to complete their space stations.
This week, we wrapped up both our Genre stories and our space station projects for Quest. It was a fun and rewarding week, especially our time spent in Alpine. Be sure to check back next week to learn how we wrapped up Session 2.Have a great weekend!
